Your district 2 representative: Mike Morris

Since January 2023, Mike Morris has served as the District 2 representative on the Knox County Council. The next tax the County Council will be asked to vote on is the wheel tax. Another increase to what we pay this time on our vehicle registration. This tax will be coming up for a vote in May of this year. This money will be paid to the State of Indiana who then decides how much to give us back usually less than we have paid out. The Council will decide at what level we will be taxed. Will it be $1.00 per vehicle or what? Is there another way to generate this money or do we really need more?

Questioning the path forward for district 2

Are we committing the majority of our tax dollars to only one segment of the population? This is a question every District 2 resident should consider. We need to question whether the current approach truly helps all people of Knox County become productive and contributing citizens. It's time to shift from reckless spending conversations to dialogues about genuinely helping others and fostering a thriving community. Join us in demanding transparency and accountability for how your money is being spent.  Mike will be representing you for the rest of this year give him a call and let him know how you might want him to vote in the future.
